Adam Equipment – AE 403 UK Plug Adapter Update (Sold between 2020–2022)

We have identified that some UK plug adapters supplied with AE 403 indicators sold in the UK between 2020 and 2022 may contain fuses that are not certified to the required BS 1362 British Standard.
These adapters were provided to convert the European plug fitted to the AE403 indicator to a UK socket. Although internal testing shows the fuses operate as expected, the lack of formal certification means they may not fully meet UK compliance and safety requirements.
There is no evidence of immediate risk, but as part of our commitment to product safety and legal compliance, we are offering a free-of-charge fuse replacement to all affected customers.
Resolution:
If you received an AE 403 indicator in the UK between 2020 and 2022:
- • We will send you a compliant BS 1362 fuse with simple instructions for self-installation, or
- • You can return the plug adapter to us, and we will fit the correct fuse and send it back to you free of charge.
If you are unsure whether your adapter is affected, please get in touch. We will be happy to assist and replace the fuse to ensure full compliance and peace of mind.
