OXFORD, Conn., May 13, 2025 -- Adam Equipment, a global leader in the manufacturing of professional scales and balances, will be showcasing its offerings for the food and beverage industry at the annual National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago, from May 17 to 20. Representatives from Adam will be on hand at Booth 8431 in the North Hall at McCormick Place to meet with conference attendees and demonstrate a selection of Adam Equipment products.
Adam’s highlighted products include food-safe scales, washdown scales and trade-approved scales. Many offer stainless steel construction, providing durability for long-term use as well as easy day-to-day cleanup.
“Food safety is an important concern for equipment used in the food and beverage industry,” said Tom Storey, president of Adam Equipment, Inc. “We’re proud to offer a variety of NSF-certified scales that help protect consumers from food-borne illnesses, whether in manufacturing, quality control or food prep.”
Adam will be showcasing several options for NSF-certified food safe scales, such as Gladiator bench and floor scales, Aqua bench scales and Aqua Stainless Steel bench scales. Each of those scales are also IP (Ingress Protection)-rated for shielding from water and food debris. The IP designations mean that the scales can safely be operated in messy areas without their internal components being damaged by water or food matter getting inside.
Adam’s Swift price computing scale — a trade-approved scale for use where goods will be sold by a price based on weight, such as markets, delis and other retail establishments — will also be shown in the booth. Swift is approved by both NTEP and Measurement Canada, so it can be used in the U.S. or Canada. Swift’s front and rear displays allow both the seller and the buyer to see the weight, price per unit and selling price at the same time, ensuring a fair transaction for both parties.
Outside of retail, trade-approved scales may be used for selling goods by weight in a B2B setting. Adam’s Gladiator washdown bench and floor scales include several legal-for-trade models, denoted by an M in their model number (i.e., GGS 15aM), approved by both NTEP and Measurement Canada.
Other Adam offerings exhibited at the show will include products used for quality control in food testing labs like the Highland precision balance, Latitude LBX compact bench scale and PMB moisture analyzer, as well as scales that can be used for weighing commercial ingredients like the CBX portable compact balance.
